A day patch birding at Holme with good old pal John Hopper from Notts.
Still loads of Fieldfare, Redwing, Blackbird & Robins etc, plus 2 Black Redstart around the NWT buildings, 12+ Ring Ouzel recorded amongst the masses. Missed out on the Olive-backed Pipit though, seen very well at close range by Gary Elton, Ashley Saunders & Sophe Barker - before managing to disappear for the rest of the day.
Also saw 2 lovely Bearded Tits in the hand!
After a late lunch we walked over towards Holmhurst & the orchard & were rewarded with nice views of a Yellow-browed Warbler mixed with Crests in the hedgerow.
Other birds of note - c60 Brambling Willow Warbler & Swallow.
