13th October VIz Mig Hunstanton cliffs


Saturday 13th October

A fantastic morning of visible migration at Hunstanton cliffs, from 0700 - 10am. The accurate count totals  are on Trektellen.

The Richards Pipit & Great Grey Shrike coming quite late in the session, glad we hung on.

Golden Plover - small no's
Snipe - 5+
Woodpigeon - a few on the move
Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1
Skylark - small groups of up to 20, probably 100+
Swallow - 4-5
House Martin - 1
Meadow Pipit - small no's
Rock Pipit - small no's
Richards Pipit - 1 over calling as it passed!
Blackbird - low no's
Redwing - small no's
Fieldfare - small no's
Mistle Thrush 6+
Jay - well over 100!
Jackdaw & Rook small no's
Great Grey Shrike - bouncing past low overhead!
Starling c20,000 including one flock of 4,000!
Chaffinch - 1000+
Brambling - c20
Greenfinch - 200+
Goldfinch - small no's
Siskin - small no's
Redpoll - just a few
Crossbill 4+
Reed Bunting - small no's
